An inspiring account by Dr. Divya Jyoti of her inspiring journey and why she began to question the industry’s approach to social compliance and sustainability. She tells how she came to the realisation that she didn’t actually know how workers actually experience the codes of conduct put in place by buyers for their suppliers, and intended to make garment factories nicer places to work. With Code of Conduct a standrad tool used by brands, we think this is a hugely valuable conversation to discuss the impact on the lives of people they are put in place to protect.
